Connect Bridge with Ethernet
Ethernet can be more reliable than WiFi (especially in busy environments).
During onboarding
If an Ethernet cable is detected during setup, the app may take you to an Ethernet step automatically (for example: Connect Bridge to Ethernet, then Requesting Ethernet IP...).
If you want to switch from WiFi to Ethernet during onboarding:
1. On the WiFi password screen, tap Connect another way.
2. Follow the on-screen steps to connect Ethernet.
If you see “Requesting Ethernet IP...”
If it takes a while, the app may show:
“We seem to be having trouble finding your IP address...”
Then you can tap Advanced settings to open Advanced Setup (static/dynamic network options).
From Settings (after onboarding)
On the main screen, tap the Settings icon.
Go to Bridge → Network.
Select Wired Ethernet (if it’s active, you can open its advanced settings).
“No internet” vs “Connected”
In Settings → Bridge → Network, you may see:
- CONNECTED: Your Bridge is connected and has network access.
- NO INTERNET: A cable may be plugged in, but internet access isn’t available yet.
- DISCONNECTED: No active connection on that mode.
