During onboarding, the app will ask for a few permissions. These are required for core features.
Location permission
Why it’s needed: The app uses this to scan for WiFi networks during setup.
If you deny Location permission, WiFi setup may fail or show an empty list of networks.
Bluetooth permission
Why it’s needed: The app uses Bluetooth to connect to the Bridge device.
If you deny Bluetooth permission, the app won’t be able to find or connect to your Bridge.
Microphone permission
Why it’s needed: The app needs microphone access to capture audio for captioning (for example, from a computer or desk phone setup).
If you deny Microphone permission, captions may not start or may stop unexpectedly.
If you already denied a permission
Open your phone’s Settings app.
Find Bridge in the app list.
Turn on the missing permission(s), then return to Bridge and retry the step.
